Want to know more about Islamic culture? The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization offers you an overview of Arab and Islamic civilization from the first to the fourteenth century with more than 5000 artifacts.
By sitting majestically along the Al-Majarrah Waterfront in the Heart of Sharjah this Sharjah Museum has become a prominent cultural and touristic landmark.
The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization is divided into seven different galleries. Some of the galleries specifically display the arts and crafts of different eras. Sharjah Classic Car Museum
If you’re into wheels, take a day off to admire some old school beauties at the Sharjah Classic Car Museum. This Sharjah Museum displays the history of cars from the beginnings of the 20th century along with the manufacturing and stories of the car industry.

Al Mahatta Museum

Sharjah Fort

The Sharjah National History Museum uncovers secrets of the desert ecosystem while travelling back millions of years to explore the evolution of the earth. The Sharjah museum is divided into several sections such as “A Journey through Sharjah” displaying the local animal species, “Desert Life”, “A Journey through time”, a lively geological exhibit, “The Living World”, “The Living Sea” – a fascinating marine exhibit and the “Sharjah Botanical Museum” – a timeline of the plant life.
Sharjah Archeology Museum
Sharjah has a deep rooted and rich culture and history. This Sharjah museum explores it through artifacts found in excavations and explorations and shows the settlement of humans in Sharjah for more than 125.000 years, from the stone age all the way to the rise of Islam.
The excavations had started in 1973 and the objects found vary from artifacts, coins, jewelry, pottery and ancient weapons which teach us of the civilizations that developed along the way. They show relationships formed between neighbouring countries as well as explore models of tombs, cemeteries, and houses of the time.
